The 2018 Seminars Start Big At Home

The Alertus Seminar Series hosted its first seminar of 2018 at headquarters with Johns Hopkins Healthcare System and it was definitely a huge success. Originally scheduled as a one day seminar, the event was expanded to two days, March 29 & 30, 2018, to accommodate the overwhelming response of registrants.

Mr. George Economas, Senior Director of Security at Johns Hopkins Healthcare System, had attendees on the edge of their seat as he recounted the details of hospital’s active shooter incident in 2010. Mr. Economas went on to provide insight into how he and his staff worked with local law enforcement, resolved the situation, and the valuable takeaways they learned from the experience.

Alertus’ own Amanda Sassano, Director of Commercial Sales, also made an appearance with an in-depth presentation on the rise in active shooter incidents. She then gave a demonstration on how technology and mass notification can help facilities get and stay prepared.
