Baltimore, MD (November 1, 2021) – Alertus Technologies, a leader in emergency mass notifications solutions, today announced its browser-based alerting solution, Alertus Desktop™ for Chrome, will now be included as part of the organization’s philanthropic Safe in Seconds Initiative offering for K-12 schools. To date, Alertus’ Safe in Seconds Initiative has provided over 700 schools and non-profit organizations across the world with the widely popular Alertus Desktop™ Notification solution, designed to deliver actionable, potentially life-saving desktop alerts, at no cost.
Alertus Desktop™ for Chrome overrides computer displays with attention-grabbing full screen, quarter screen, or scrolling ticker customized messages. Whether schools are operating in-person or remotely, the easy-to-deploy Alertus Desktop™ for Chrome serves as a powerful emergency mass notification tool with built-in flexibility for day-to-day communications.

Alertus Desktop™ for Chrome users do not have to opt-in or subscribe to receive messages, making it easy and quick to deploy. School boards have the option of installing the Chrome software directly from the Chrome Web Store, or pushing the extension to all school computers using G Suite or Group Policy.
Alertus is offering a complimentary Desktop for Chrome solution with full-screen notification capability to eligible K-12 schools.
